Personal Observations

One of three Missions in the El Paso area that I visited on a drive from California to San Antonio.It was laft afternoon and very quiet.

History

San Elizario Mission was originally established in 1789 by Spanish friars. Some refer to it as a Presidio Chapel. The exisitng church was built in 1877.
National Register of Historic Places: 72001358, September 14, 1972.
